It was "Knicks".....ah well ^_^ The game kicked ass, in any case. They won (thank GOD, otherwise Brian would've been intolerable O_o) and now I feel even more like a New Yorker. *sniffs* Gah, I need to spend some time back in Boston before this gets any worse ;P and guess what I found on my desktop?
Mark all made up for his film debute yesterday. Ain't he sweet? ^_- I'm going to a Nicks game tonight. (or is it "Knicks?" gah...) Exciting, eh? I dunno what the hell I'm gonna do about Cardie, tho...I went by the housing office a little while ago, and apparantly there's NO WAY to get into summer housing at NYU so far past the deadline...unless you're enrolled in a class over the summer. But since Cardie doesn't exactly have cash to burn at such an ass-expensinve university, well...we'll see. Looks like Ali's gonna have to do some fast thinkin. :P So that's the bad news. Good news is that my shoot yesterday went SO incredibly well, I can hardly believe it. I mean, I was expecting it to be fun - my film's about a guy who lives in a stairwell, after all - but nowhere near this smooth. Mark was great as the lead (Brian did his makeup - he looks like Buster Keaton with stubble ^_^) and my angelic roomie, Jess, was the best crew I've ever had. She and the guys were amazingly helpful - we set up an entire bedroom in the freaking STAIRS, with a huge-ass Arri light, a camera, and an extension cord going all the way down the hall, and we managed not only to avoid capture by pesky RA's or NYU security, we even cranked out some pretty kick-ass footage to boot! At least...I hope it's kick-ass....if anything goes wrong during processing, I'm seriously going to cry.... O_o this has been SUCH a wierd coupla days. O_o since Sunday night, the following has happened: I'd put off doing my laundary for...oh, about a month....so I had to wash not only my entire wardrobe, but my comforters and sheets as well. In case you haven't learned this yourself already, comforters take more than one washing and drying to get clean and ready to sleep under. I didn't know this until Sunday night, when it was 2:45 in the morning and I needed to get my ass in bed. So, while my bedding was in the drier, I slept on top of my egg crate with a long winter coat serving as a blanket. Needless to say, it was a rough night... On that same night, the evil roomie hooked up with some random guy from my film school. Who just happens to be named Brian. GRR. TOO MANY BRIANS!!! *sighs* That, and the wet kissing sounds were starting to get to me... arg....this is going to drive me crazy. TWO roomies with everpresent boyfriends? I love how the world is conspiring to remind me that my Brian can't be here all that much....it's not his fault, but when the other two men of 819A live in the same dorm as their beloveds, it's a pretty stark difference. -_- Today, best friend Cardie called me up and informed me that she's counting on NYU housing for the summer. Even though the deadline for applications was a week ago. Looks like I'm headin over to the housing office tomorrow. And speaking of things that need to be done tomorrow, I was just informed by my mom that I need to call a lawyer, find someplace to recieve a fax, get something noterized, and other such Big Adult Things....tomorrow. Even though I have work until two (which I can't skip out on, because I'm making just over $50 a week as it is, and anything less is insane to try to live off of), and then I have to pick up the floater rig, and THEN I have to spend the evening shooting part of my fourth film. Joy. The other important bit of that conversation with mom was that she apparantly isn't getting married this summer, as was the original plan. Which means I can go to the Gathering after all. Score. ^_^ Now, I have to email people, get my laptop set up for a day o' fun on the sound floor tomorrow, water my plant, do some situps, and go to BED. wonderous sleep...I am coming, my dear.... I FOUND MY PIECE!! Dude, it was so freakin cool.....I was talking to Jess (the good roomie ^_^) and said something about how I was reluctant to give up on the search for my missing Gundam model part. "I dunno," I said. "I keep feeling like I'm just gonna pick something up and....(illustrate point by lifting up a lamp) FIND MY PIECE!" Low and behold, there it was. And here it is, with all its brothers an sisters... >;}
I am da MAN!! OH YEAH!!! XD tonite, on AliCam - last minute animating! WOO! ;P and me being gone because I'm doing my laundary. Urg. -_- I just realised that I never explained a basic concept of ali wardrobe selection to all of you. Q: How does Ali decide what to wear? A: Ali looks in her drawer to see if she has any socks. If she doesn't, that means she has to either wear her ratty sneakers, or a skirt. Q: How does Ali choose between those equally exciting options? A: Ali looks in a different drawer. If she has any jeans, she'll wear the sneakers. If she doesn't, it's off to skirt land. Today, I have no socks, and there is a wearably-clean pair of jeans draped over the back of my chair. THEREFORE, it is a jeans a sneakers day. oh joy of joys :: end blah :: Want to read the REALLY old shit? Here ya go. |
